Summer Swim Team Registration Begins:

*May 9th – 17th for Previous Aquahawk Swimmers anytime at the front desk

*May 17th for NEW Swimmers from 6:30-8:00pm in the pool area

Forms/Payment Needed for Registration:

1.       Registration Packet (ALL 3 pages filled out)

2.       Team Fee – made to: YMCA (cash, check, or credit card)

3.       Concession Fee – made to: Ankeny Aquahawks (cash or check ONLY- SEPARATE PAYMENT)

YMCA Developmental Groups
Name Guidlines
For swimmers 8 and younger:

25 yards each of a LEGAL freestyle & backstroke

25 yards of good form of breaststroke & butterfly kick and knowledge of the full stroke.

For swimmers age 9-12:

50 yards each of a LEGAL freestyle & backstroke

25 yards of breaststroke

25 yards of butterfly

For swimmers 13 and older:

50 yards each of ALL FOUR STROKES LEGAL

(freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly)

The goal of the swim team is to place children in appropriate levels, regardless of age, to maximize instruction and to create a quality learning/practice environment. Placement of swimmers will be decided by the YMCA coaching staff.
